Fundraiser Story
UPDATE: JULY 19th, 2024. Carriacou Island, Grenada, and Jamaica: TWVs have been lighting up the darkest parts of Carriacou Island, Grenada, and Jamaica, whose houses were destroyed in Hurricane Beryl- along with family water filtration units and mobile medical visits. Our volunteers are based on the destroyed island of Carriacou, where everything has been wiped out. It's hot, and people have lost everything but the clothes on their backs, living with extreme heat, tears, and utter despair. There's no food or clean water, no electricity or Wi-Fi, and there seems to be a convention of mosquitoes. We hugged many single mothers on this island and listened to their deep despair. This past week, our volunteers in Grenada and Carriacou delivered 1000 solar lanterns to give 4000 people light and 500 family water filter units. We also provided medical check-ups and delivered aid door-to-door on Carriacou. Volunteers also delivered 500 lights to St. Elizabeth in Jamaica and St. Vincents. ...
