Assisting Communities Affected by a Mass Shooting

Support Those Affected By Accidents and Emergencies

According to the Gun Violence Archive, the United States has surpassed 500 mass shootings in 2023 alone. While acts of violence continue to rise, direct financial assistance for victims and survivors is drastically declining. Victims of these horrific events of mass violence need assistance both financially, physically and emotionally.

Donate to the National Mass Shooting Victims Fund

AngeLink has partnered with VictimsFirst to fundraise to support their National Mass Shooting Victims’ Fund. Your donation will ensure that every victim – past, present, and future – will receive the direct financial assistance they require.

Or You Can Also Pay It Forward…

Start an AngeLink fundraiser to benefit a charitable organization that provides relief to mass shooting victims with immediate aid and assistance.

Make sure to include the following in your AngeLink fundraiser description:

  • Who are you raising money for? If for an organization, what is their mission?

  • How have they been directly affected by this tragedy?

  • Where are they located?

  • How will they use the funds?

Please note that if you’re raising funds for an individual or organization, you may be responsible for personally transferring funds raised to the beneficiary. If so, describe how funds will be delivered to the beneficiary.

*AngeLink currently operates in the U.S.A and does not accept donations or fundraisers launched by individuals from locations outside of the U.S.A.

Safety List

Safety is paramount when it comes to shootings and gun violence. Make sure you know how to keep yourself and your family safe if you ever find yourself in a dangerous scenario.

Develop an emergency action plan for your home and workplace by identifying escape routes, conducting active shooter drills, and establishing a system of reporting suspicious behavior.

Pay attention to your surroundings and the people in your vicinity.

As best you can, stay calm and try to remain as quiet as possible. If you can escape, leave the area immediately and help those closest to you do the same. If escape isn’t possible, find a place to hide.

If possible, call 911. Provide accurate details about your location and a description of the shooter(s) if you can.

Follow law enforcement instructions and provide as much information as possible. Report any injuries or medical needs right away.

Continue to keep yourself informed and updated with periodical review of your safety plan. Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to do the same.
