Support Melissa! Together we BATTLE STAGE 3 Breast Cancer

In 2022, Melissa was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. It has returned. Following a double mastectomy, hormone therapy, and eventual reconstructive surgery in 2023 she faced serious complications, including lymphedema, blood clots in her leg and lung, as well as two staph infections. Since 2022 she has been unable to work, creating significant financial challenges. Despite Melissa enduring the trauma of diagnosis, treatment, and complications, she now faces the next chapter of her battle. The cancer has resurfaced in her lymph nodes, discovered by a recent PET scan. As a result, she now faces stage 3 breast cancer. Treatment with Chemotherapy begins Friday November 22nd. Melissa will endure bi-weekly chemotherapy for 4 months (8 treatments) with radiation to follow - all of which brings new medical needs and expenses.
