The summer of 2024 started like any other for me—full of ambition and big dreams. I was diving into new business ventures, collaborating with an all-women’s financial firm, and fulfilling a lifelong dream by recording an album with my church choir. My days were filled with meaningful work, deep connections, and a heart anchored in faith. Then July came—and everything changed. Triple negative breast cancer. The most aggressive kind. The diagnosis hit me like a freight train, shattering my plans in an instant. Career goals suddenly took a backseat to chemo treatments and the overwhelming reality of an 18-month battle. But instead of letting it break me, I chose to dance in the rain—even when the storm raged. Chemo has pushed me beyond what I thought I could endure—physically, emotionally, and mentally—but it’s also ignited a fire inside me.
