Help Maui Girl & Fiancé Start Over

On August 8, 2023 a wildfire stoked by Hurricane Dora winds engulfed parts of Maui, Hawai'i and decimated the home that Amanda and Steve live in, including all their furnishing, belongings, dive equipment, and mementos, as well as both of their vehicles. Luckily, they were on the mainland doing preliminary wedding plans and their dog was with a neighbor. (The sitter was able to evacuate but their home was also a total loss) We are thankful for the blessing of no fatalities for our family, but now they must rebuild their lives from scratch. They already lived a very humble life on Maui, working multiple jobs (that are temporarily defunct) and now they own nothing but what was in the suitcase they arrived with. Finding housing on Maui was already extremely difficult, and now will be more so. Unfortunately, they did not have renter's insurance and even the building that Amanda's employment for tourism works in was burned down.
