Wendi's Medical Expenses

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this story. This fundraiser for my sister, Wendi Shinn, is to help ease the burden of the medical bills that keep accumulating. At this point, there is close to $7,000 of medical bills from open heart surgery in March 2022. Add in the cost of the surgery last week and the second one tomorrow and that number skyrockets. A little about Wendi, she is a 3-time kidney transplant recipient whose first transplant was at the age of 13. This was after being on dialysis for a year and being sick since age 9. Wendi has been immune suppressed since and has been in and out of the hospital for 30 years. Wendi had to have emergency lifesaving open heart surgery this past March 2022 after doctors discovered several occlusions and her mitral valve needed full repair.
