For Jan: Rooted in Love, Growing in Recovery

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of friends, family, and everyone who loved her, we’ve fully funded the memorial tree that will be planted in honor of Jan at Leila Arboretum. The outpouring of love and support deeply moves us. Because many have continued to ask how they can give in Jan’s memory, we’re expanding the purpose of this fundraiser to support something that mattered greatly to her: recovery. Jan had a strong respect for those on the path of recovery. She witnessed the courage it takes and was tremendously proud that her daughter not only found healing but now works alongside others as a substance use therapist. From this point forward, all additional donations to this fundraiser will go directly to the Alano Club of Battle Creek—a nonprofit Recovery Community Center providing peer-led support, safe space, and connection for individuals and families impacted by addiction.
