We are asking for donations to help Jerrod regain his independence and rebuild his life. The financial strain has been overwhelming, as he was struck by a car while changing a tire on the side of the highway, leaving him with life threatening injuries such as a Spinal Cord injury, 2 broken legs, a stage 4 ulcer sacrum wound, and a colostomy. I have assumed all financial responsibility following his denial for Medicaid and SSI disability benefits. The rejections were based on the grounds that his income exceeded the threshold for Medicaid and his contribution to the SSI system was insufficient.
