Julia needs joy

Hi, I am Julia Mason, let me introduce myself. I grew up in a military family, so I moved around a lot growing up, and as an active duty Air Force member. Though I consider Albuquerque, NM my home town, I know that Maine is my home. The first time I visited Maine, I knew I belonged here. I moved to Maine in 2000, planning to become a productive artist - my life's dream. Unfortunately, life doesn't go as planned. I discovered I had breast cancer in 2010. After surgery and treatment, I thought I would be fine, so I continued with my plan. I had joined a local artist group, entered shows, and was very active, artistically. But then I discovered that I had another lump in 2021. I had a double mastectomy and hoped that story was over. Over the years, I have had to move several times because the rental property was sold.
