Jayla for Miss Black and Gold

Hello everyone my name is Jayla Smalls—a Sophomore Mass Media Arts major at the illustrious Clark Atlanta University. I am running to be the next Miss Black and Gold for the Alpha Phi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. for the 2023-2024 school year. For this pageant, we are to raise money and I am doing so in ads and taking donations of any amount. This money will be going towards the production of the pageant and my involvement of fundraising with the chapter. I decided to run for Miss Black and Gold because of the impact the Alphas have had in my life on campus and back home; wanting to build in their representation. I would love to be the liaison the Alphas can have to reach not only the men but women on our school's campus. What I hope to do with this position is to serve my campus and city community, promote intellectualism at our lovely institution, and artistic development to bring creativity out of our students and showcase what they have to offer.
