Top Ten Ways To Spread Global Good And Help Others
Spreading kindness can come in many different forms. Global good is defined as an impact that can extend to all people across the world, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or religion. Although this might seem like a monumental task, spreading goodwill across the world starts on a small scale. It all starts with you! One, small random act of kindness can spread like a wildfire. It only takes one person to start a ripple effect that can impact so many people.
Our mission is to encourage our AngeLink family to be kind and conscientious members of the global community. Here are the top ten ways to spread global good:
1. Uplift Each Other
We can never truly know what others have going on in their life. Therefore, it’s super important to be kind to everybody you encounter. Whether it’s your local barista or someone you pass on a walk, treat others the way you would want to be treated. This can be as simple as a smile or a few positive words. Your uplifting words and attitude just might make someone’s rough day completely turn around!
2. Feed The Hungry
Feeding the hungry is one of the most concrete and effective ways to spread global good. Get involved in your local food bank and volunteer to serve meals to the homeless. If you cannot donate your time, make a monetary donation or donate some canned goods.
3. Help others in need
Aside from feeding the hungry, you can also impact someone’s life by helping them get back on their feet. As the old proverb goes, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. There are many ways you can do this, such as volunteering at local organizations like career counseling or getting involved in your local church.
4. Donate To The Less Fortunate
Do you have way too much stuff cluttering up your home? It’s time for a spring cleaning! Instead of just throwing away all of your old belongings, give them to a local donation center for some less fortunate. One man's trash, is another one’s treasure!
5. Support Local Projects
There are many organizations that aim to alleviate the suffering of people in their local communities. Get involved by keeping yourself informed, volunteering, and supporting their goals in any way you can. Find a cause that has a meaningful impact to you, and give back to your community!
6. Write A Letter
Writing a brief letter to someone is an easy way to show you care. Whether it’s a friend who is going through a hard time, a far away loved one, or even a stranger who needs a little pick-me-up, such as someone in a nursing home, hospital, or prison.
7. Listen To Someone
Sometimes, the best way to help someone is just by listening to them. There is not always an easy solution to a problem, but simply listening to your friend or neighbor can help them more than you may know.
8. Plant Trees
Volunteering to plant trees or pick up litter is a great way to affect the global environment on a local level. Don’t be afraid to get down and dirty for a good cause!
Another crucial way to spread global good is by speaking up for what you believe in. Attend a protest, call your state senators, or simply spread your message on social media. This can be a great way to educate people on important issues and spark real change.
10. Be A Source of Positivity
It can be easy to get caught up in the many horrible things happening in the world. Instead of focusing on that, try to focus on all the postive things happening in the world and in your own life. Be grateful for what you have, and spread this appreciation and optimism to those around you.
